Niagara Falls focus of upcoming film ‘Camille’

The romantic comedy “Camille,” shot several years ago in Niagara Falls, finally appears ready to be released.

The film stars James Franco as a parolee who’s getting married (to Sienna Miller) so that he can escape to Canada via Niagara Falls; she sees the trip to the Cataract City as a chance to change his ways.

And that’s where things get weird.

They get in a crash on the way, she dies, but she wakes up and ventures on, becoming increasingly pale and showing other signs of having kicked the bucket. Both are determined to carry on, though, so he has to preserve her decaying body as the approach their destination.

Strange? Sure. But it features the Niagara Frontier so perhaps it’s not all bad. There’s no nationwide release date, but the film will premiere next month in Texas. Here’s the trailer.
