Josh Groban disgraces himself at the Emmys

Filed under: Television — pauljlane @ 4:52 pm

I challenge you to watch this entire video.

I REALLY tried, but it’s such an embarassment to a quality singer like Josh Graban that I couldn’t last three minutes. I don’t know what the point of this Emmy montage was, I don’t know what illicit act Groban got caught doing to get tied into it – but I know no one could possibly enjoy this. Nothing about this could have even potentially been entertaining.

If this isn’t enough ammunition in the argument of why award shows are garbage, you’re arguing with a completely irrational, borderline insane person.

  1. I believe you are the “borderline insane” one. I watched the whole video – it was entertaining. Josh Groban could sing the phone book and it would be amazing.

  2. It was tv theme songs – of course it was going to be cheesy. And because he had fun with it and didn’t care about how silly it was, made it even better.

  3. It was entertaining.

Awards Shows never try and be anything they aren’t. They are mindless fun. People watch for the same reason they watch sporting events – to root on their favorites. TV Shows become like your favorite sports teams – almost like members of your family. When a favorite actor/show wins it makes you feel good.

These segments are intended to break up the monotony of “and the award goes to…” — Aristotle would be very proud.
