Buffalo resident Shayna Raichilson-Zadok was eliminated Tuesday by chef Gordon Ramsay on “Hell’s Kitchen,” halving Western New York’s contingent on the show.
She was criticized by teammates for moving too slowly, with Ramsay also calling her out for her lack of speed in preparing dishes. That led to hee being selected for elimination over Rosann, the nasally New Yorker who served an undercooked steak to the guest of honor at a Sweet 16 party, and Matt, the crybaby who decimated a fish dish meant for that girl’s mother.
Ramsay credited Shayna for her cooking skills, but said she didn’t seem to have her heart in the competition; at the time of the taping, she had given birth to a child three months prior. She denied this but said she had no regrets because she gave it her all.
Surviving was Niagara Falls Bobby Anderson, who has stepped up his game in recent weeks nad has been more willing to help his teammates. He provided one of the more comic moments of the night during a go-kart race he dominated, in which the drivers had to deal with slippery conditions.
“I’m from Niagara Falls,” he boasted from the front of the pack. “Driving on ice is what we do.”
The final results of the show are unknown, but Anderson has been seen in recent weeks working as an executive chef at the Wegmans in Amherst. That doesn’t necessarily mean he didn’t win the executive chef job in Los Angeles, though, as there could be a live results show or the prize could take effect at a later date.
